A yellow diamond is a natural colored diamond that has a full
yellow body color. They are quite exotic and rare. A naturally occurring
diamond that shows a distinctly yellow body color is considered a "natural
yellow fancy" diamond. There are many variations in the intensity or
saturation of the color found in the naturally occurring yellow diamond,
from "pale light yellow", to "fancy intense golden yellow".
Natural Yellow diamonds are very exotic rare indeed and in larger sizes ( over .50ct) become even rarer. Because of their extreme scarcity natural colored diamonds have become one of the most concentrated forms of wealth on the planet. A beautiful yellow diamond that shows strong color with intensity and good clarity can run from $9,000 to $18,000 and up per carat (.05ct to .20ct can run $2,000 per carat ). Paler natural yellow diamonds are available for considerably less as well as lovely lemon colors. Many fine natural colored diamonds have an accompanying "diamond origin report" from one of the major international gem laboratories assuring its natural occurring origin or in other words that it is an unadulterated naturally colored diamond.
An often realistic option is to consider a treated diamond.
We can supply to you an Intense Yellow Laboratory Treated Genuine Diamond:
.50ct and up for approximately $2600 to $4000 per carat ( for example a
.50ct could run $1250 to $2000) for a fine gem.
I highly recommend that we spend a little time on the phone discussing what to look for and the way value can be achieved when shopping for a diamond as well as the many variables that will apply and how you may be assured of receiving a diamond of integrity, value and beauty. Upon discussing your needs, we will then scour the industry to locate the rare quality of cutting we have discussed; in the quality ranges and carat size you request. Remembering that less than 1% of all fine diamonds in the industry come close to the exceptional standards we have described. When we supply and broker a diamond for a client we save them thousands of dollars and never have a vested interest in a particular diamond allowing me to fairly access and compare for you.
